Frequently Asked Questions

We host a soft grading for players turning 8/9 in 2026 (think of it more as a meet & greet) and a formal grading for our players turning 10-17 in 2026. Grading is important to ensure players are placed appropriately and teams are balanced. They are relaxed, supportive sessions and suitable for all experience levels.
Do players have to attend gradings?
That’s absolutely fine. We welcome first-time players every season. Our coaches focus on skill development, confidence and having fun.
What if my child is brand new to netball?
Training generally occurs once per week (day advised once teams are formed). Games are played on Friday evenings for our 8-9's and Saturdays for our 10's-Seniors.
What days are games and training on?
The season runs from March until September, with breaks during school holidays.
How long is the season?
For younger age groups, yes. You don't have to stay courtside at training, but we ask that a parent or guardian remains nearby. Older players may be dropped off if families are comfortable. At games, we want to see you there, cheering on the team!
Do parents need to stay at training or games?
We recommend you register early. But reach out if you're not sure, we're always happy to chat. We'd rather have a conversation with you than leave you wondering!
What if we’re unsure right now?
Yes, but before you panic, hear us out...
Netball is a volunteer-run sport and while there’s absolutely no pressure, many of our parents choose to coach or help in small ways. Most started with little or no experience and quickly realised it’s far more manageable (and rewarding) than expected.

Do parents coach or help?
Coaching is also one of the best ways to connect with your child, understand the game, and be part of their sporting journey, even if you’re short on time. Honestly, it’s nowhere near as scary as it sounds. If this is something you’ve ever thought about, this might just be your sign...
If you have any questions about registrations, gradings, the season, or getting involved, simply email - we’re more than happy to help.
