What a fantastic day at the Menai Hawks Annual Umpire Development Clinic! 🏐
Our focus this year was on supporting our 2nd-year and beyond umpires—helping them sharpen their skills and build a deeper understanding of the rules and game management.
A huge thank you to Zoe, National A Badge umpire, for hosting us. Her genuine approach, depth of knowledge, and engaging presentation made a real impact, and we’re incredibly grateful for the time and expertise she shared.
And of course, a big shout out to all the players who gave up their Sunday afternoon to assist with the practical sessions—bringing great energy and just the right amount of cheekiness 🤭 to help our umpires build confidence in real game situations.
We’re excited to see these umpires continue to grow throughout the season! 💪

You don’t need committee experience, we’d love fresh ideas, extra hands and passionate people who want to help make the club even better both on and off the court.

13T1 had an awesome game today against the Thistles. They were down the whole game but kept fighting. They kept the opposition scoreless in the last quarter and we won 23-19. Such a great team effort!!

12T1 had a hard fought battle with Joey’s today. They were unsuccessful with the win, but the girls showed great perseverance and grit to have a really strong 3rd and 4th quarter. Well done team!

With sooooo many almost goals. The U8 T2 experienced their first goal for the season. For a team where most of the players had never played before, they have come so far with their team work and understanding of the game.
It wouldn’t surprise me if anyone who was at the courts tonight heard the team’s parents cheering. The girls also had a dance party post game.
